As a Canadian P.Eng. and QP, Mr. Rivera has a consistent successful track record in assisting clients meet demanding objectives in mining related projects located in Africa, North, Central and South America. His dedication to excel has taken him to assist in engineering design, construction and operations that are complex and of High Consequence-Low tolerance for failure in Canada and overseas. As part of a team, Mr. Rivera has participated in projects for high profile mining clients such as Barrick Gold Corporation, CVRD-Inco (now Vale), and Rio Tinto among others.
His experience includes economic evaluations of base, strategic/critical minerals and precious metals using narrow vein and mass mining methods in high rainfall-tropical, arctic and desert environments.

Pierina Gold Mine – geotechnical site investigation for most mine infrastructure.

Gold: Rivera began his mining operations career when joining the Glencairn Gold Corporation/Central Sun Mining Inc. (CSM) Operations Team under the direction of Mr. Peter Tagliamonte, Canadian Mining Engineer award winner. Open pit Operations: Bella Vista Mine, Costa Rica; La Libertad Mine, Nicaragua; Underground mines: Limon Mine, Nicaragua. Closure Operations, Canada: Farlye Lake Mine Closure – Site Management for monitoring Environmental Consultants’ mine closure work. Keystone Gold Mine closure – management defining scope of work, schedule, and budget estimation. Category of engineering and operations: complex, high consequence-low tolerance for failure. CSM’s Properties acquired by B2Gold.
Critical Minerals: Rivera was the Chief Engineer and Mine Technical Services Manager at the Antimony Mine Operations owned by Beaver Brook Antimony Mine Inc. located in Newfoundland, Canada. Open pit and Underground Operations. Proved that mineralization extended laterally 300 meters at level 300 m below surface. Category of engineering and operations: complex.

Reducing Mining Investment Risks & Validating CLIENT’S & INVESTOR’S TRUST
Largo Resources Inc. (2010) _ Rivera’s client
Inverstors that trusted Rivera’s collaborative NI 43-101 Technical Report financed Largo Resources. Thus, Largo was able to start its exploration and mining activities. Without that trust from investors, Largo would had not been able to reach its full potential. Figure 1 shows Largo’s share value increases from $0.55 to $21 up to $39 over time.

After this first report, Avion invited Rivera a second time to design, select equipment, estimate manpower requirements, estimate operating costs, define the production schedule for the underground mines and carry out the economic assessment, which included both the open pits and underground mines
